The Wine Spectator Award of Excellence

The Wine Spectator is the most respected wine publication, and is considered the "wine bible" of the restaurant industry. Ruth's Chris Austin has achieved their prestigious Award of Excellence every year since 1994.

The Wine Spectator gives this award "to recognize commitment to a fine wine list, with a selection of better producers along with a thematic match to the menu in both price and style...generally with over 50 selections." Annual judging criteria include wine menu appearance, vintages and appellations for all wines, pricing, storage conditions, glassware and dinner menu.
